2023 Youth Exchange to Vancouver
Sask Rugby is facilitating a rugby youth exchange to Vancouver in the spring of 2023 for youth in Regina between the ages of 14 and 17. This page is home to information about the exchange.
This exchange is organized through the YMCA Youth Exchanges Canada program with funding from the Canadian Heritage Ministry. Regina Minor Rugby is a key partner in the administration and delivery of this exchange program. The exchange group will travel as the Dog River Howlers Rugby Club.

Key Points:
- The exchange will involve a hosting (April 19-24, 2023) and travelling (March 1-6, 2023) component and participants must be available for each portion.
- There is space for 15 male players and 15 female players on the exchange.
- Players should be between the ages of 14 and 17, with a preference for players aged 14 and 15.
- The cost of the exchange portion is $500 and covers all expenses for both the travelling and hosting portions. Participants are expected to have an active Rugby Canada Contact playing membership covering the dates of the exchange (either an existing 2022 membership or a new 2023 membership).

2. Family Information Meeting
Sask Rugby is hosting a meeting for interested families and participants on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 7pm at the SaskSport Administration Centre at Mosaic Stadium in Regina. This meeting will be an opportunity for families to ask questions about the exchange and discuss the next steps to register for the exchange. At least one parent or guardian of the potential participant should attend. Youth wishing to participate are more than welcome as well.

3. Register for the Exchange
Are you ready to register for the exchange? There are three steps that need to be completed to confirm your spot on the exchange:
- Complete a sign-up form (including kit sizes).
Send your participant payment of $500 to Sask Rugby by either: Cheque to Sask Rugby received at the following mailing address: 300 – 1734 Elphinstone St, Regina, Saskatchewan S4T 1K1 OR E-transfer to sru@sasktel.net
- Complete, sign, and return the Participant Consent form to rdo@saskrugby.com.
