REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED
The 2018 Sask Rugby Summit dates have been announced for Friday, November 16 to Sunday, November 18 in Regina at the DoubleTree by Hilton.
The summit is an opportunity for the Sask Rugby community to come together to network, make decisions, and plan for next season. The meeting sessions Saturday will be followed by an awards banquet to celebrate our dedicated and passionate members. Sunday's sessions will consist of our Semi-Annual AGM and a brief board meeting.
Online registration is now live so those wishing to attend are able to reserve their spots.
Sask Rugby will provide free hotel rooms for those staying the night. Rooms will have 2 double beds per room, as such the minimum is 2 persons per room.
Sask Rugby is also providing a bus from Saskatoon to Regina at $20/person. The bus will depart the Saskatoon Rugby Clubhouse at 6PM Friday and depart the DoubleTree by Hilton at 1PM Sunday.
Annual awards include: Coach of the Year, Match Official of the Year, Female & Male Senior Players of the Year, Female & Male Young Players of the Year, and Builder of the Year. Nominations are accepted until November 9th @ 12PM, visit www.saskrugby.com/awards for information on nominating.
The Awards Banquet is on Saturday, November 17 at the DoubleTree, following the summit. Cocktails begin at 6PM, dinner at 7PM, and awards at 8PM. Tickets are $100 each or $800 for a table of 8. Payments will be accepted via the online link or cheques and cash at the door but registration is required to attend.

- Deadline for award nominations: Thursday, November 9th @ 12PM,
- Final day to buy banquet tickets: Wednesday, November 14, 2018
- Final day to reserve seats on the bus: Wednesday, November 14, 2018 *or when seats are filled

We are happy to announce our Awards Banquet guest speaker.
Canada second row, Canada captain and Canada’s most successful professional player, Mike James is now retired from professional rugby and back home in Vancouver. Mike played for and captained the prestigious French Barbarians, and was featured in the 2005 team that included New Zealand greats Justin Marshall and Kees Meeuws. He ended his career with Stade Francais, and was part of the Stade Francais teams that won the French Premiership titles in 2003, 2004 and 2007, and went to the finals of the Heineken Cup in 2001 and 2005. He has earned 50 caps for Canada, 9 of which have come from World Cup matches. He has captained Canada on several occasions, including a match against France at Nantes. James has appeared in 4 World Cups – in 1995, 1999, 2003 and 2007. Mike also spent some time as Head Coach of the BC Bears Men’s Provincial Rep Side, and can be seen helping the BLRC coaching staff in the development of our up and coming players.
