The upcoming Canada Summer Games in Niagara will feature Women's Rugby Sevens, marking the return of rugby to the Games since 2009 and first-ever appearance of women's rugby. Though the Games were postponed to the summer of 2022, Sask Rugby is dedicated to developing this program and bringing together a strong group of women together for the Games.

Sask Rugby is happy to announce the selection of Kayla Mack-Thiel as the Team Sask Canada Summer Games Head Coach! From Saskatoon SK, Mack has progressed through provincial and national programs, representing Canada internationally in both 7s and 15s. As a coach, Mack lead the U18 Women's Sevens Team Sask in their 2018 and 2019 seasons and has been a champion for women's rugby in Saskatchewan. She brings a great deal of experience to our provincial program and is an excellent role model for young female rugby players.

Team identification and development activities are scheduled to kick off in 2021, with updates on the Sask Rugby CSG page: www.saskrugby.com/canadagamesplayers/
